The first thing you want to do in Jaco is get settled. Find yourself a nice hotel ,
and then put on some serious sunscreen. The sun is a lot more powerful here then you may think and you vacation could get off to
a very bad start if you don't protect yourself and the kids. Imagine 2 weeks in the hotel room with red and peeling unhappy kids!
Take precaution before and your vacation will become a success. If you forgot to take the sunscreen you may want to head over to
Farmacia Jaco along the main road in central Jaco and pick some up. Another choice would be Mas x Menos
which is also located close to Farmacia Jaco on the opposite side of the street. You can grab some bottles of water there as well
as you will quickly dehydrate under the heat of the Costa Rican sunshine. Once you have that settled you may wish to check out the
closest beach . This is a great starting point as the kids will be ready to swim.
Being as Playa Jaco is right in town you will most likely start with that one. If you swim near one of the many beachside restaurants
you and you partner can sit back and drink a few cold beverages while the kids have some and tire themselves out. If it's just the
two of you a nice lunch or supper beachside in "El Hicaco". For reservations you can call them at 506-643-3226 or just stroll over
there. They are directly in front of the beach on the road leading west directly south of Farmacia Jaco along the main road. Just
walk south of Farmacia Jaco and watch for the sign.
